Haylee Ritter

Haylee Ritter (she/her) is a professional performer, choreographer, and dance educator based in Texas. She has trained at various locations across the nation and is currently Dance Captain and company member of Grace the Company, as well as an instructor at Backstage Studio in Conroe, TX.

Her work investigates the unspoken layers of personal experience—how memory, trauma, joy, and transformation leave traces on the body and mind. Through movement, she seeks to process, translate, and give form to what is often intangible.

Ritter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Springfield College and an Associate of Arts in Dance from Kilgore College, where she was a proud member of the Kilgore College Rangerettes. At Springfield, she performed works by Andrea Miller (Gallim Dance), Ana Maria Alvarez (Contra-Tiempo), Sarah Zehnder (Zehnder Dance), Kodee Van Nort, Maureen Shea, and fellow student choreographers. While at Kilgore, she performed at national events including the 80th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor (2021) and the Cotton Bowl pregame and halftime shows (2022 & 2023). She also appeared in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade three times: as a Macy’s dancer (2021), a Rangerette (2022), and a featured performer in Mariah Carey’s Finally (2022). Additional highlights include the annual Rangerette Revels with guest artists JT Horenstein, Afton Beatles, and Maryelle Stephenson, as well as performing Vein by Grace Reagan at Break-in Dance Feast (2025) and  the Oklahoma International Dance Festival (2024).

Ritter has been choreographing for eight years, creating a diverse range of works for competition teams, solo performers, and public school dance programs. Her recent choreography includes Hip-Hop, Pom, and Jazz routines for Lufkin Middle School (2023 & 2024), as well as step ladder and streamer routines for Lufkin High School (2022). While at Springfield College, Ritter choreographed two original works: Lost Trajectory, which was selected for presentation at the ACDA New England adjudication concert in 2024, and her senior project, Paradox.

Ritter is currently on faculty at Backstage Studio in Conroe, TX, where she teaches a variety of styles and helps guide young dancers in both technical training and performance artistry. Her teaching experience spans multiple age groups, levels, and settings—from private training and competition teams to public school programs. She has previously taught Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and Precision High Kick at Dottie Hunt’s School of Dance and Kickn’ it with Rains, assisted Tempy Kirby in private lessons across East Texas, and led dance activities at Duggan Academy in Massachusetts. Through each role, Ritter brings the same passion she carries into her choreography and performance: a commitment to helping students grow in confidence, creativity, and discipline.​
